Tropical Andaman coast — warm, humid, and green year-round
Takua Pa has a tropical monsoon climate. Temperatures typically range from 24°C at night to 32–34°C by day. Humidity is high, especially during the rainy season.
Less rainfall, clearer skies, and comfortable evenings — ideal for walking the old town and the Sunday market. This overlaps with walking-street season.
More frequent showers and occasional heavy rain, especially September–October. Heritage streets are still walkable between showers — bring a light rain jacket and non-slip shoes.
November to April is the sweet spot: drier weather, the Sunday walking street, and festivals including Chinese New Year and the Vegetarian Festival (usually October, on the lunar calendar). Early mornings and late afternoons are pleasant any month for photography and café stops.
