Thailand celebrates Takua Pa Old Town's Green Destinations Bronze at ITB Berlin

The Department of Tourism congratulated Thai destinations recognised at ITB Berlin, the leading travel trade fair in Germany. Doi Phu Kha National Park in Nan received the Silver Award — Thailand's second Silver after Chiang Khan — for its forest-guardian trekking school story.

Takua Pa Old Town in Phang Nga received the Bronze Award, becoming the first destination in Thailand honoured at this level under the Green Destinations Awards and Certification Programme. The award highlights sustainable destination management and Takua Pa's path from a tin-mining hub to a heritage tourism community.
